The closing ceremony started by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran of the reader of the holy shrine of Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-'Askari (peace be upon both of them); Sadeq al-Zaydi, followed by the word of the representative of the supreme religious authority in Pakistan and the supervisor on al-Kawthar University; Sheikh Muhsin Ali al-Najafi, in which he thanked the two Senior Officials of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them); Sheikh Abd al-Mahdi al-Karbala'i and Sayed Ahmed al-Safi, the General-Secretary of the holy shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him); Sayed Nizar Habl Mateen and the Director of the holy shrine of Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-'Askari (peace be upon both of them); Sheikh Sattar al-Murshidi for sending their delegations to these remote area which is close to the path of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), praying for the continuation of such events in the coming years.
Followed by the word of the holy shrines participating in this cultural week delivered on their behalf by Sheikh Adel al-Wakeel. Then graduation tribute was paid to a number of students who have completed their studies at al-Kawthar University.
Then a draw was taken to select 20 winners to visit the holy shrines in Iraq, 10 of them at the expense of the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and 10 at the expense of the al-Abbas' (p) holy shrine.
The ceremony included also a mutual honor between the al-Kawthar University and the delegations of the holy shrines participating in this cultural week.
