To offer more and better services and supports to both Razavi pilgrims and people from Mashhad, Imam Reza Dar al-Shifa’s dialysis center was equipped and launched.
On the sideline of this ceremony, managing director of Astan Quds Razavi’s medical institute stated, “Recognizing treatment needs of Razavi pilgrims and Mashhadi citizens and also providing facilities for ill pilgrims are this institute’s main duties”.
Dr. Seyyed Mahdi Hashemi Nejad stated, “Dialysis patients from other cities and countries for whom treatment had become an important concern was one of the considered needs in this line. This idea came into reality by raising this issue in the institute’s board of directors and getting positive response from the organization’s authorities”.
“Today, this center comes into operation on the 38th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory and it is hoped that we can give more services to the citizens and Razavi pilgrims and also reduce their health concerns”, he added.
Dr. Hashemi Nejad stated, “All the necessary ground-works have been provided for the use of all patients intending to visit Hazrat Reza’s (A.S.) Holy Shrine; however, it is tried to put pilgrims population in priority”.
He also said, “All standard services approved by Health Ministry, including those related to space, equipment, staff, and medical facilities will be rendered at this center”.
Dr. Hashemi Nejad reiterated, “Nutrition, hygiene, and teaching are musts of dialysis services. Therefore, it has been attempted to provide patients, while receiving dialysis treatment in the center, with direct teachings in this area or with some informative brochures”.
It is good to mention that two patients received Hemodialysis treatment on the first working day of this dialysis center. Also, one of these patients offered his gold medal that he had gotten in the organ transplant’s world shooting championship, to the medal treasury of Astan Quds Razavi’s central museum.
