Sayyid Jamal Esh-Shehristani, head of the delegation, said that they arrived in Mosul and documented the major devastation ISIS caused. He said that ISIS devastated many sanctuaries, such as Imam Zainul-Abedeen, Imam Ridha, and some other sons' of Imams of Ahlul-Bayet (Peace Be Upon Them).
He said further, “Not only did ISIS destroy the sanctuaries, but they also bombed other sanctuaries; the sanctuary of Imam Zainul-Abedeen was also bombed, but the paramilitary engineering division defused it completely”.
Esh-Shehristani said that the documents would be displayed at international conferences to show them to the agencies specialized in protecting the archeological sites. He then mentioned that ISIS crimes are connected to the crimes committed against Ahlul-Bayet (Peace Be Upon Them) long ago.
