Programs Marking ‘Mashhad, 2017 Cultural Capital of Muslim World’ Get Underway

Programs marking northeastern Iranian holy city of Mashhad as the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2017 were officially launched in the city on Monday.

The ceremony was attended by Iranian Culture Minister Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, Khorasan Razavi Province’s Governor Ali Rashidian and a number of other officials.

During the event, the logo of ‘Mashhad, 2017 Cultural Capital of Muslim World’ was also unveiled.
