On the night of Ashura and among the mourners of Imam Hussein (A.S.) at Ayeha Cultural Complex, Ayatollah Seyyed Ibrahim Raeisi introduced crimes of Daesh and Wahhabism as reminiscent of those of Yazid's followers on the day of Ashura and said, "If the ignorance cleaved chest of Prophet Muhammad's (S.A.W.) uncle to bite his liver and also lanced head of Prophet's (S.A.W.) son, today, infantry of modern ignorance which is against all manifestations of civilization and humanity is now beheading innocent and defenseless people and also cleaving their chest".
He continued, "Today, the humanity is suffering from darkness, destruction, pillaging, crime and wickedness of modern ignorance and the only way to salvation is to copy Imam Hussein's (A.S.) teachings and to follow the way Iranian nation passed with leadership and guidance of the Supreme Leader".
Emphasizing that modern ignorance threatens the freedom, independence, and humanity of people, member of the supreme council of Khorasan's seminary stressed, "The necessary capacity for overthrowing the modern ignorance exists now and its key is to follow all the lessons of Imam Hussein's (A.S.) Ashura".
Referring to Imam Khomeini's (R.A.) sentence saying: "All we have originates from Muharram and Safar", member of managing board of assembly of experts explained, "Ashura movement was a great bravery which created a new life for Islam". He also said, "It is our duty to keep this movement alive as Ashura preserves human life".
Saying that Ashura is regenerative of rationality, Ayatollah Raeisi emphasized that wealth and military power do not provide calmness. He also stated, "The most unrest regimes of today are Al-Saud and Al-Khalifa".
Elsewhere in his remarks, custodian of Astan Quds Razavi emphasized on the necessity of keeping Ashura movement alive and stressed, "Killing Imam Hussein (A.S.) while suffering from extreme thirst has created such a big grief that it is deserved to remember his thirsty lips whenever facing a spring, a river or when we are going to drink water as water is reminiscent of Karbala martyrs".
He introduced many liberation movements happened during the history as being affected by Ashura movement and said, "Karbala and its incidents were all peak of chivalry and humanity against peak of inequality". He also said, "Although many tragic incidents happened, the messages of this incident were much more than a regretful story".
Saying that Ashura was the main way toward life, growth, and revival of religion and it has given objectivity to the Islamic teachings, member of the supreme council of Khorasan seminary reiterated, "Ashura is the secret of eternal mission of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) and leadership of Imams (A.S.)". He also said, "What is received and understood from this big epic is that the blood of Karbala martyrs has become a source of evolution and change for the world people".
A society with no wisdom was introduced by Ayatollah Raeisi as the infantry of the arrogant powers. He said, "Those who fight against Prophet's (S.A.W.) son on the day of Ashura were not Islam enemy. They were in fact very common people who had changed, as a result of their ignorance, into enemies' tool and formed that great catastrophe of humanity".
