Imam Hassan (PBUH) Visitors’ City is a Tourist Attractions for Najaf Citizens and Noble Visitors

Imam Hassan (PBUH) visitors’ city that belongs to the External Services Department in the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH) is located southeast of Najaf on the road that connects Najaf with the southern provinces.


Ra’ad Kashkool, the head of the department, said in a statement to the Media Center of the Holy Shrine “The city is provided with many services like food stuffs, lodgings, medical services, relax places, a mosque for more than 800 people, a playground, and other necessary annexes. The total area of the project is 50,000m2. The city contains bed halls and 5 large buildings. It contains 350 furnished apartment.”

“There is a restaurant that accommodates more than 700 visitors and offers free meals in crowded visit days, especially Arba’een of Imam Hussein (PBUH) visit. There are dozens of bathrooms, baths, and places for making ablution. There is a park for more than 500 cars,” he added.

Sayyid Ibraheem Mousa, the official of the city, said “There is a giant tent in the middle of the city. A specialized Emirati company installed the tent. This is the largest tent in the visitors’ cities. It accommodate 5,000 visitors and where all the elements of comfort are available for our valued visitors.”

Nahidh Isma’il, the representative of the Emirati company, said “The tent is 32m high, 50m2 wide, and 100m2 long. Its area is 4700m2 and it is considered the largest one in Iraq. It is designed specifically to withstand the weather conditions and high temperatures. We will complete it before Al-Ghadeer Eid.”
