Imam Reza’s Holy Shrine Blessed Flag Donation to Sheikh Zakzaky in Nigeria’s Prison

Close relatives of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, leader of the West African Muslims, who is imprisoned by Nigeria’s regime were allowed to bestow the blessed flag of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) in a meeting with this defiant scholar.

The family of this great scholar, in an interview with the reporter of “Under the Shade of the Sun celebrations” staff, stated, “Offering the flag of the Imam Reza (A.S.) Holy Shrine, made Sheikh Zakzaky and his zealous wife pleased, and he, appreciating the act of Astan Quds Razavi, requested the pilgrims and neighbors of Imam Reza (A.S.) to do the pilgrimage on his behalf, and to pray for the victory of Islam and all the world’s zealots.”
It should be noted, two years ago, Under the Shade of the Sun cultural-promotional caravan was sent to Nigeria by the invitation of Sheikh Zakzaky, leader of Nigerian Muslims. The presence of Razavi servants, which were carrying the blessed flag of Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) and cultural souvenirs, coincided with the ceremony of the Fortieth of Nigeria’s Quds Day Martyrs. On that occasion, this great scholar mentioned the role of Imam Khomeini (R.A.) in the development of Islamic trend of Nigeria and had insisted on following this path. On Quds Day Two years ago, the Nigerian military soldiers attacked Zaria Quds Day rally in which thirty people, including three sons of Sheikh Zakzaky had been martyred.
It should be mentioned, in December last year, a few people were killed and wounded by Nigerian military soldiers attacking Zaria’s Shi’ites. This attack resulted in the destruction of the Nigeria’s Baqiatallah religious center. Also during this attack, Sheikh Zakzaky, leader of Nigeria’s Muslims and his honorable wife were injured and arrested. News implies that the physical condition of the celebrated figure of Nigerian Muslims, is not favorable in prison and lack of resources and pressures has aggravated his condition.
