And to find out more details on the division works, Al-Kafeel Network met with Mr. Abdul-Zahra Dawood Salman, who has stated: "The division of sewing is one of the vital division at the department of gifts and vows, being a supporter for most of the technical and service departments of the holy shrine through sewing work uniforms for the employees of those departments throughout the year, in addition to sewing women's abayas, gowns, flags, prayer belts and turba bags and all the sewing needs of the holy shrine, as well as the embroidery and stitching works of the holy dome's flag."
Noting: "The sewing division consists of two units: The sewing unit and the embroidery unit, and both use many machines, including:
1- An electronic machine that types the words on the cloth using threads by introducing the image or the phrase to the machine's computer along with the font of execution, as well as the frames using very beautiful decoration.
2- Laser scissors that performs flags on which is written various phrases, such as: "Ya Qamar Al-'Asheerah, Ya Qamar Bani Hashem" that are distributed as gifts to the families of the martyrs of the popular mobilization, in addition to a number of sewing machines, as to make the flags we use satin as it is a good type.
Adding: "The division also sews scarves worn by the servants of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) when performing worship acts, as well as the flags placed on the coffins of the martyrs at their funerals at the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him). And we have also accomplished the flag of the host of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine on the road of Najaf - Karbala, on an area of 200m on which is written (Ya Hamel Lewa' Al-Hussayn)."
As for the works for the month of Muharram, he said: "For the holy month of Muharram, the division sews the banners and flags, as we ask the calligrapher to send us a special phrase on an electronic form so we can print it on a paper template according to the measurement that we want, then we work it on a piece of cloth to cut it and then sew it on another piece of cloth."
